Google Changed Autocomplete Function

Google has been disabled some of its autocomplete function in Japan after complaints it violates privacy.

A Japanese man searched for his own name in google. Typing his name google linked him with crimes he hasn’t committed. It was not just a couple of pages. It was at least 10,000 individual results. Read more

Pipe: Transfer Up to 1GB of Data on Facebook

Large file transfer will come to Facebook soon. A new app "Pipe" makes it so you can transfer up to 1GB of data on the social network.

Pipe will allow to be transferred from peer-to-peer on the social network. Berlin-based Pipe uses Adobe’s Real Time Media Protocol Flow to slip the file into the recepient’s cache on Facebook or Pipe server space gets occupied. The Adobe tech was designed for Flash or AIR apps to communicate with each other.

Almost 1 billion users of Facebook will get a chance to transfer music selections, games, news and other big pieces of data from friend-to-friend.

'Holy Grail' Microsoft Patch

Microsoft will ship a Patch next week. The Patch is called 'Holy Grail' by one researcher. It contains security updates, only one critical, to patch seven vulnerabilities in Windows and a pair of for-developers-only programs.

One of the important updates will patch bugs that Microsoft confirmed could be exploited by attackers to compromise PCs and plant malware on victimized machines.
